If time has passed since your collision, your health concerns still deserve appropriate evaluation. An insurance deadline is not a reason to ignore symptoms or assume there is no medical care available.
Medical care and insurance eligibility are different
Tell the clinician when the collision occurred, when symptoms started, and whether you have received any care. Bring available records. The physician considers the history and findings to recommend appropriate next steps; a remote visit may need to be followed by in-person assessment.
Understand the timing requirement
Florida’s PIP medical-benefit rules include a requirement for qualifying initial services and care within 14 days after the collision. That is not simply a deadline for reporting pain or calling an insurer. Coverage depends on the policy and applicable requirements. Ask your insurer or attorney how the timing affects your circumstances.
