Get Effective Medical Care After a Car Accident

After a Florida car accident, start with a medical evaluation and a clear plan for follow-up. Florida Injury Centers provides physician-led auto injury care through telemedicine and coordination with appropriate local providers.

Receive care promptly

Florida’s PIP medical-benefit rules generally require qualifying initial services and care within 14 days after the accident. Reporting an injury or making a phone call is not the same as receiving that care. Coverage depends on your policy and circumstances. Learn more about Florida’s 14-day rule.

Keep your evaluation and follow-up connected

Your physician reviews your symptoms, history and available medical records to guide appropriate next steps. Depending on your individual assessment, care may include in-person evaluation, imaging, medication management, rehabilitation or specialist consultation.

Dr. Kevin Huffman, D.O., leads FIC’s medical care model. Bring available emergency department records, imaging reports and your medication list. Tell your physician how the injury affects your daily activities and about any barriers to attending appointments.

Find care near you

Explore care by city or participating affiliate offices. Affiliate practices schedule their own appointments; their office hours are separate from FIC’s statewide telemedicine access.
