Florida Injury Centers was founded by Kevin Huffman, D.O., a board-certified Family Medicine physician with more than 38 years of experience in patient care and injury care. As Founder and Medical Director, Dr. Huffman leads a physician-first model designed to give injured patients medical oversight and continuity from the beginning of care.
Our model gives injured patients a medical home from the beginning of care—one physician-led plan with coordination across imaging, rehabilitation, orthopedics, pain management, neurology, and other appropriate services.
Patients can access physician evaluation and intake statewide, while our team coordinates ongoing care and documentation with the professionals involved in each case.
1. Physician Evaluation
Early medical assessment establishes the injuries, immediate needs, and initial treatment plan.
2. Coordinated Injury Care
When clinically appropriate, FIC coordinates diagnostic imaging, medication management, rehabilitation, and consultations with orthopedics, pain management, neurology, and other specialists.
3. Follow-Up & Documentation
Structured physician follow-up supports continuity of care, EMC determinations when medically appropriate and supported by the examination, causation opinions, communication with involved professionals, and final medical documentation.
