Your telemedicine visit gives you a convenient way to meet with a Florida Injury Centers physician from your phone, tablet, or computer. A few simple steps can help the visit go smoothly.
Choose a quiet, private location. Find a place where you can speak comfortably about your medical history and symptoms.
Use a device with a camera and microphone. A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a reliable internet connection works best.
Have important information nearby. Keep your medication list, accident information, recent medical records or discharge instructions, and the names of providers you have already seen available if applicable.
Be ready to describe your symptoms. Think about where you hurt, when symptoms started, what makes them better or worse, and how the injuries are affecting sleep, work, driving, and normal activities.
Use the appointment link or check-in instructions provided by the Florida Injury Centers team. Open the link on the device you plan to use and allow access to your camera and microphone when prompted.
Try to connect a few minutes early so you have time to resolve any audio, video, or connection issue before speaking with the physician.

The physician will review your accident and medical history, discuss your symptoms and functional limitations, and perform the portions of the evaluation that can appropriately be completed by video. Depending on the clinical findings, the physician may recommend additional in-person evaluation, imaging, rehabilitation, specialty consultation, medication management, or follow-up.
